Reading through the articles on Influenster and I came across this little baby when reading about gift sets to buy for Mother’s Day! Omg I needs! I LOVE that it removes peach fuzz as well as exfoliates! Genius! I’ve been thinking about getting rid of my peach fuzz for a while now so that I can have a smoother finish when wearing makeup. Definitely need to invest in one of these!
I got so excited about it that I thought I’d share. Have you used this before? What do you think? Would you recommend? Let me know in the comments below.
Hop on over to K Rose B Cosmetics to check out their amazingly pigmented (I’m not kidding! They really are crazy pigmented) eyeshadow pans and lashes! The eyeshadows pans are 36mm in size, so bigger than standard pans, and also come with an iron sticker so that you can put them in your magnetic palettes!
Eyeshadows = £4
Magnetic palette = £5 (currently showing out of stock)
Lash applicator = £4.50
Lashes = £8.50 – £12
Here’s an example of a couple of the eyeshadows and how pigmented they are (pics taken from the site).
It was a birthday gift and was bought from Beauty Bay. It is such a gorgeous palette with beautiful shades of golds, browns and nudes. I love that it has both matte and shimmer shades in it. The pigment in the shades is fantastic and the formula is soft and buttery. There is a little fall out but putting some translucent powder under your eye area before you start your eye makeup will take care of that then once you’re done, you can brush it away and none will be left on your foundation. Would definitely recommend this palette plus at £22, it’s not a bad price either! Especially if you compare it to Urban Decay’s Naked palettes!
I was also bought a Morphe Brushes brush set for Christmas too. I used them today to do this look and they’re amazing! They’re so soft and it’s so easy to apply shadow and blend using these brushes! If you’re looking for a new set, I’d definitely recommend these!
The other day I thought I’d have a play around with some new makeup that I’d received over the Christmas period. I don’t really get much chance nowadays but thought I’d grab a spare moment whilst Willow had her nap.
All products are cruelty free and some are also vegan which I’ve put in brackets next to the products.
💜 Primer: Illuminate and Glow correcting primer by Pür Cosmetics (vegan)
💜 Foundation: Matte Clay Skin Clarifying foundation by The Body Shop (vegan)
💜 Eyeshadow: Shade and Light Contour Quad eyeshadow palette in Rust Kat Von D (vegan)
Style Eye-Con No. 7 Eyeshadow palette in Starlet using the rose gold metallic shade by Marc Jacobs
💜 Mascara: Beyond Limitations mascara in Jet Black by Saturated Colour
💜 Lipstick: Powerful Color Natural Lipstick in the shade Tender Heart by Pacifica (vegan)
💜 Setting Spray: Glowsetter setting spray by Glamglow
I am absolutely bowled over with the eyeshadow palettes! I am no longer a KVD or MJ virgin! The KVD palette is so buttery and soft and the MJ palette is gorgeously pigmented. What I will say about the style eye-con palette is that there is better colour pay-off when you apply with your finger! It is such a gorgeous metallic rose gold shade that I just know I’ll be reaching for all the time. Can’t wait to try out the other shades in the palette though!
The Pacifica lippy is such a pretty shade and is quite longwearing too! I think it may have converted me back to using lipsticks again rather than liquid lippy! I also love that the brand focuses on natural ingredients! This is another brand I’ve not tried before and as well as the eyeshadow palettes named above, I received it in my Christmas swap box that I spoke of in my blog post here. Check it out to find out what else was inside! I would love to try more of their products and hope they ship to the UK!
Have you used any of the products? What do you think to them? Let me know in the comments below.
I would just like to add, that I discovered Glamglow is NOT entirely cruelty-free as they test on animals when required by law (normally this means that they’re trading in mainland China). I actually feel quite disappointed by this considering how the brand started out. 🙁
Hey guys. Sorry it’s been a while. Trying to get back into the swing of things and what better than to blog about something Christmas related!
I’d recently taken part in a Christmas swap box exchange on an FB beauty group. Today, mine arrived all the way from the U.S. I am absolutely blown away and delighted with all the little treats that were inside.
I honestly don’t know how she managed it on the budget we’d agreed on! She’d somehow put together a box filled with both drugstore and high end products that I never imagined to see in my box because they’re so expensive over here in the UK! I was so overwhelmed and touched by it. I just hope she likes what I’ve sent her (all uk brands)! So far I have tried the Glamglow Poutmud and it’s looovely! It’s so moisturising with a minty smell and a little bit of a tingle to the lips! Can’t wait to see what the rest of the products are like!
I’m sorry this is such a short post but I must get back to wrapping up the Christmas presents! I’ve got some to post out to my family and friends tomorrow. Hopefully they will all get them in time for Christmas!
Take care guys and enjoy the festivities!
Hiya! How are you all on this fine Wednesday? I thought I’d share with you all the goodies I got from Beauty Bay.
As you can see, it wasn’t a big haul, or that interesting haha, but I just needed to top up on some bits I was running low on.
I’ve been using Gerard Cosmetics setting spray but felt it really wasn’t cutting it (not worth the hype, that’s for sure) so wanted to try something different and thought I’d give the L. A. Girl HD Matte setting spray a go. It is also cruelty free, paraben and fragrance free which are all pluses in my book!
The second item that I bought from Beauty Bay was this Pomegranate sheet mask by Vitamasques. I’d recently blogged about their Acai Berry sheet mask which left my skin feeling so lush so of course I absolutely had to try out one of their others! I hope this will be just as yummy smelling as the Acai Berry mask was!
I’d ran out of my Lush Tea Tree toner so my last item is the Skin & Tonic London Rose Mist. I had specifically been looking for a rose water/toner because it is sooo good for your skin! This has only FOUR INGREDIENTS in it:
1. Rosa Centifolia (Rose) Flower Water
3. Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate
4. Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe) Leaf Juice Powder
How fantastic is that? No nasties whatsoever! I’m such a lover of natural skin care; I couldn’t not buy this! Rose water has so many benefits too! It’s an anti-inflammatory so reduces redness, relieves eczema as well as other skin conditions and helps fight acne. It’s also good at reducing stress/anxiety levels and supposedly helps with depression.
Well that’s it for today lovelies. Have you tried any of these products? Got any natural skin care recommendations? Feel free to leave me a comment below. 😀
Part II: Chemical X-ray – Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick Colour Queen B – What is inside and what does it do?
I don’t know about you but I’m really interested in what each ingredients in my beauty products do so I found this blog post really interesting and wanted to share it with you all. Warning: grab a cup of coffee or tea and get comfy! 😀
As a chemist and beauty junkie, I always look through the ingredients in products, most often out of curiosity, especially on products that worked really well. Since the Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick colour Queen B worked so well for me, where a lot of others and other brands failed, I decided to look into its ingredients in detail.
I wrote this down in case this is something that helps or interests you too, with explanations on what each ingredient is doing in the lipstick. This way you can get a better idea of what is doing what and why this lipstick works or doesn’t for you. You don’t need to be a chemist or scientist to understand, I am hoping that I explained everything to be easily understandable by anyone during a coffee break.
If you like this concept let me know and I will make this a…

Hiya! Wow I can’t believe the week is nearly over! Today’s look is a really simple one. I really didn’t feel like going the whole hog with makeup today so just went for a bare face with a coat of mascara and a bold lip. The mascara I’ve been using lately is Roller Lash by Benefit. I love this mascara! There’s no clumps and it beautifully separates the lashes! The lippy I chose to wear today is a liquid lipstick by Morphe Brushes in the shade “Morphe”.
The shade is actually brighter than I thought it would be when I first ordered it. The lip swatch on the site made it look to be more of a deep blood red. However, I still really love this shade! The formula of this lipstick is lovely. It goes on so smoothly and doesn’t feel drying at all. It’s got such a lovely scent as well. Vanilla, I think. The staying power is fantastic although it does fade in the centre of the lips when you eat/drink. I found that after wearing it for while it doesn’t crumble like some other brands do. I did find though that it bleeds a little. I think that’s quite common with reds in general mind. I’ve yet to find a red that doesn’t bleed.
I think this will be my go-to statement lippy. I absolutely love it!
I purchased mine from Beauty Bay. At the time there was a sale and it was on offer for around £6.50 but it’s current price is £10.50.
Hey all! How’s your Friday? Today I thought I’d have a play with my Morphe 35F palette and share the look. I actually think I love this palette more than my ABH Modern Renaissance palette! There isn’t much fallout from the Morphe eyeshadows (unlike Modern Renaissance) and they are sooo buttery and easy to work with!
There are some really gorgeous shades in this palette. Perfect for autumn time! I love wearing them any time of the year though. The palette is currently available from Beauty Bay for £22.50. If you’re after a new eyeshadow palette then definitely check out the Morphe ones. I’d loooove to get more! Do any of you own a Morphe palette? Which ones do you have?
