Twiathlon! Will YOU be going?
Cinema tickets for the Twiathlon (where you get to watch ALL of the Twilight saga back-to-back including the eagerly awaited Breaking Dawn Part 2 which will be shown at midnight on the 15th November 2012) have gone on sale today. Who’s excited? Who’s going? I’ve already booked my tickets for the Twiathlon. I know, I know I could watch it in the comfort of my own home saving me some pennies and just go see Breaking Dawn Part 2 but eeek I just love the atmosphere at the cinema and the fact you’re watching it with fellow Twihards! My sister and I went last year. It was so much fun and are so psyched to be going again this year. We’re even dressing up for it. Yup! Though I can’t reveal what we’ll be wearing as these outfits will also be making an appearance at Eternal Twilight 8 (A UK twilight convention which, oh my god, is a week on Friday)! Let’s just say, I think the cinema staff may think we’re crazy when they see us!

Breaking Dawn Part 2 Trailer! – S
Hello Everybody!
Lionsgate/Summit have announced that a new teaser trailer for Breakung Dawn part 2 will be released tomorrow in celebration of Edward Cullen’s 111th birthday! Judging by the new stills that have been released, hopefully there will be some more Renesmee! Look out for a post on the trailer TOMMORROW!
NEW Breaking Dawn Part 2 Stills! – S
Hey Guys!! This week EW unveiled some brand new Breaking Dawn scenes giving a glimpse into what parts of the book the film will contain! It is all very exciting as the release date in November is gradually creeping closer and closer…Having a major OMG moment! So here are some (not all) of the stills..These are my personal favourites!
I can’t help wondering whether Nessie will be seen to be around the age above from the beginning of the film? That would be my only criticism prior to seeing the film. What do you guys think? COMMENT BELOW!
MTV Movie Award Nominations! GET VOTING
It’s that time of the year where the battle of the fan bases commences! This year’s MTV Movie awards is proving to be a tough battle with Harry Potter, Breaking Dawn AND The Hunger Games battling it out for Best Movie AND Best Kiss! Convention News! – Steph
Hey Everybody!
So, since i last posted i attended Eternal Twilight 7 – an unofficial convention for the fans of the Twilight Saga. At the convention the guests were:

MyAnna Buring
Unfortunately due to Alex Meraz cancelling the day before the convention due to work commitments, there were only 4 guests at the event and only 3 on the sunday as MyAnna had to leave. Although a lack of guests was apparent, we still had an amazing time nonetheless. At ET7 Massive Events announced that there WOULD be an ET8 held later this year, however, it would be the last convention for Twilight alone. This news was horrific. These events have been a key feature of our year here at Secret Lives, with all of us attending. Although it will be very sad to say goodbye to these conventions, the line up for ET8 is proving vert strong from so early on in the planning. So far the guests confirmed are:

Massive Events have promised us that these conventions will go out on a high.
In addition further bad news has surfaced. ‘The Games’, a convention for the fans of ‘The Hunger Games’ has been cancelled due to lack of interest from both attendees and guests. This is sad news, more so because ‘The Hunger Games’ has been such a hit and has recently been constantly in the public’s eye. The Guests who were confirmed to attend the convention were:

Although the event has been cancelled and the attendees will be fully refunded, the scheduled guests will now be appearing at a signing event – Collectormania, held at Milton Keynes. In addition, Jacqueline Emerson ‘Foxface’ has been announced to attend this event.

New Breaking Dawn Clip, Hillywood & NuttyMadam! -S
Wow! it has come to that point in the year when the next round of twilight saga madness begins!
3 exciting things have either happened or will happen this month in the twilight world.
1- On February the 1st the Hillywood Show released their Breaking Dawn parody – a must see for any twilight fan who likes a good giggle! I think this is the best parody they have done so far, they just get better and better! make sure to like The Hillywood Show on facebook and follow them on twitter @Hillywoodshow
Enjoy! don’t forget that the Hillywood Show are doing a reaction video competition! To enter, simply record a video of you watching the Breaking Dawn parody for the first time and post it as a video response!
2- New Breaking Dawn clip released! In the USA there were midnight release parties for the breaking dawn DVD release which came with a surprise new clip from Breaking Dawn part 2 feauturing the newly turned Bella and her o-so-loving husband, Edward. Squee!!
As always, as there is a new clip to watch, NuttyMadam was sure to post a reaction video! We all love Emma and her videos!!
3- and finally, ET7 (Eternal Twilight 7) is approaching fast as it is this weekend! From SLOFL Myself, Lauren and Kimi will be attending and we are VERY excited as some of our favourite cast members are attending! The guest line up so far is Myanna Buring (Tanya), Bronson Pelletier (Jared), Alex Meraz (Paul), Booboo Stewart (Seth) and Noel Fisher (Vladmir). Tickets are still available but you can only buy them online for another few days! The convention is held in Birmingham from the 17th-19th Feb. EXCITEMENT! ‘First Light’ by Jean Rush review – S
‘First Light’ is an unauthorized sequel to the Twilight Saga.
The book is written in Renesmee’s point of view, which is great for the reader as Renesmee’s grown self character is not fully established in Breaking Dawn. The book is written in a very twilightesque style which makes it easier for a twilight fan, like me, to interpret.
To sum up the storyline quickly. The Cullen’s and Jacob have moved to Chugach to let Renesmee finish maturing so they are able to move to Calgary as the Cullen’s lack of ageing is becoming noticeable in Forks. In Chugach Renesmee begins to assume that Jacob doesn’t love her as he still sees her as a young 4 and a half year old girl (which she is, in human years).
The Cullens then soon receive a visit from Aro and a mysterious other, who is soon revealed to be his hybrid son. The son is named Ranon and he is half vampire, half human – like Renesmee. Ranon’s immortal power is that he can transfer his thoughts into other’s minds and on meeting Renesmee – imprints a series of intimate future images into her mind. At once Renesmee falls in love with the idea of being with Ranon and without telling her family or Jacob, leaves with Ranon and Aro back to Volterra.
However, in Volterra Renesmee learns that Ranon is not all he seems and the reason she was lured here by him was to be part of the Volturi’s experiment..the aim of which is to get Renesmee pregnant. She also learns that Ranon has lied about being a vegetarian as she walks in on him feeding off a woman and her son…She tries to escape, but this proves a challenge…
I wont give away the end….
So, i found this book VERY gripping, i continuously read it all the way through for about 3 hours. The characters that are new to the reader are well developed and there is no abandonment of the well loved twilight characters. The only absent Cullens are Rosalie and Emmett – who are described as headed to Europe on an extended honeymoon. I really enjoyed this book and found myself saying out load ‘No Renesmee! Don’t do it!’ It has lots of spontaneous twists and turns that were very unexpected! This is also a fan fiction that is VERY true to the previous books – paying attention to detail of all the things a twilight fan would want in a sequel book, such as Bella’s shielding power, Jasper’s back story and we learn some more on Esme’s back story! We also don’t miss out on Wolf Action, as there is a return of Seth and the future of the rest of the wolfpack is revealed! The thing i really liked, which was not explained until the end, was what Bella, Edward and Jacob agreed about the imprinting on Ness.
I would really encourage you to give this book a read, especially now it’s the big wait between the release of the Breaking Dawn part 2 film! The book is free on the iBook store – type in ‘twilight’, ‘first light’ etc.
Also, if you are into to post twilight fan fiction, bellasdiary.com is a personal favourite of mine! i would definitely recommend Jacob’s, Renesmee’s and Bella’s diary off there!

I would encourage you to read the author’s note at the beginning, just to be aware of the ending situation etc.
Are you going to the London Breaking Dawn Premier???
Not long now until the movie!!! But we want to know who is going to the premier this week?
I know we all wanted to go but unfortunately we can’t. I wanted to go because going to the Remember Me premier in May was so much fun and meeting Robert Pattinson was fantastic but I can’t take any time off work 
So we want to hear all your stories!! Send them in and we will post them! We want to know who goes, what it was like meeting the celebrities and even what your got signed! I’m sure some of you will have some funny stories too!

Eternal Twilight 6 Round-up!
Last Weekend all four of us – Lauren, Dayna, Kimi and Myself went to ‘Eternal Twilight 6′. This event was a twilight convention held in the Hilton Metropole near the NEC in Birmingham.
The Guests for the event were: Gil Birmingham – Billy Black, Chaske Spencer – Sam Uley, Charlie Bewley – Demetri, Toni Trucks – Mary (Breaking Dawn), Patrick Brennan – Liam (Breaking Dawn) and Justine Wachsberger – Gianna (New Moon).
At the convention there were also a number of Authors who came to promote their novels: Becca Fitzpatrick, L.A Weatherly, Kate Harrison and Marcus Sedgwick.
Overall the weekend was very enjoyable for all of us and EVEN BETTER – we managed to stock up on a load of new books!
Throughout the guest talks we learnt a lot about the upcoming ‘Breaking Dawn’ films including something that will hopefully be on the Breaking Dawn DVD!
Toni Trucks announced to the audience that the whole cast took part in a flash mob dance when the Cullens and their allies fight the Volturi. It apparently starts with Carlisle (Peter Facinelli) walking up to the Volturi and saying ‘I Think we can settle this…with a DANCE OFF!’ to which the Cullens perform a choreographed dance sequence to the Volturi. Afterwards Aro (Michael Sheen) simply looks like a gangster and the Volturi perform their routine. Toni stressed that Bill Condon, the director of Breaking Dawn did not know of the rehearsed dances and was completely shocked! But, after researching, i think Bill is keen to put the dance onto the bonus features of the Breaking Dawn DVD.
We also learnt that if Gil Birmingham was a flavour of ice cream he would be Rocky Road and that when Charlie Bewley feels down he plays ‘Prince Ali’ from Aladdin as he thinks it sounds like ‘Prince Charlie’. When asked what musical character they would love to perform, Toni Trucks responded with ‘Sweet Charity’ and Patrick Brennan answered with ‘Annie’ later changing it to ‘Miss Hanigan’. Another question asked was ‘What aspirations do you have for before you die?’ to which Charlie Bewley replied ‘Creating a Human catapult’ so he could fire himself into the sea as a way of dying if he became terminally ill. Toni Trucks responded by saying that she would like to start a restaurant called ‘Couch Potatoes’ where you can choose a chair to sit in and order their signature dish ‘Couch Potatoes’!…One of the funniest revelations was that Charlie Bewley would like a ‘tug toner’ for Christmas – which, if you’re wondering is a piece of exercising equipment. Throughout the weekend we also learnt of Guri Weinberg’s GFYS charity and once Toni Trucks explained the idea of it to us, the majority of the convention goers tweeted Noel Fisher and Guri Weinberg saying ”Toni Told us to tell you….GFYS!”
Toni Trucks and Patrick Brennan have made quite a positive impact on us, and from what we have seen – they are very grateful to be part of the twilight phenomenon and appreciate all the love they have received – even though we haven’t seen them in BD action yet!
Throughout the weekend we also met the lovely Becca Fitzpatrick who was kind enough to listen to us tell her about our blog!

On the saturday, Massive Events (the company that run the conventions) announced that as of now, the UK conventions are becoming OFFICIAL. This means they will have access to the whole cast and it will be easier for them to get bigger guests to their events! It also means that they are now able to possibly get props and costumes on display at the events!

On each site there is a well displayed breaking dawn button/ad so you can easily find where you can book your ticket.
NOT ONLY THIS BUT….
Vue cinemas and Cineworld cinemas are also hosting Twi-athlons on the 17th of November. These twi-athlons will be showing back to back Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and then showing a midnight screening of Breaking Dawn part 1 – how exciting! Make sure to grab your tickets now before they sell out – which i am sure will be VERY QUICKLY!
