NEW Breaking Dawn Part 2 Stills! – S

Hey Guys!! This week EW unveiled some brand new Breaking Dawn scenes giving a glimpse into what parts of the book the film will contain! It is all very exciting as the release date in November is gradually creeping closer and closer…Having a major OMG moment! So here are some (not all) of the stills..These are my personal favourites!

I can’t help wondering whether Nessie will be seen to be around the age above from the beginning of the film? That would be my only criticism prior to seeing the film. What do you guys think? COMMENT BELOW!

The Vampire Diaries Season 3 Finale!! – Steph *SPOILERS*

*please note that the following post contains spoilers. Do not read this post if you are yet to watch the season finale, I’d hate to be the person to ruin it for you!*

OH.MY.GOD.

I have just finished watching the season finale of The Vampire Diaries season 3 and ‘my oh my!’ what an ending it was!

I was left gobsmacked! Not just by the recent Rick/Originals fiasco but the capabilities of Matt! – That power to make a decision and go for it, no matter what Elena thought of it. Also, i am so happy that Elena has finally made her choice! *happy dance* – I am team Stelena (no hate please!). However i am doubtful that this decision will be permenant due to the fact that something that will stick with Elena forever happened at the end of the ep!

I am still slightly confused with the whole Tyler/Bonnie/Klaus plot. Did Bonnie know that Tyler was going to die anyway and just kept everyone else alive by making them switch bodies? Does that mean (in a way) that Klaus and Caroline are together now?

AND FINALLY THE BIG CLIFFHANGER…………………Elena!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Elena is reborn!!!! (for those who haven’t watched yet) as a vampire

I think this was AN ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC ending…Congratulations on such an amazing series Julie Plec and the TVD cast! Can’t wait for Season 4!

MTV Movie Award Nominations! GET VOTING

Convention News! – Steph

Hey Everybody!

So, since i last posted i attended Eternal Twilight 7 – an unofficial convention for the fans of the Twilight Saga. At the convention the guests were:

Unfortunately due to Alex Meraz cancelling the day before the convention due to work commitments, there were only 4 guests at the event and only 3 on the sunday as MyAnna had to leave. Although a lack of guests was apparent, we still had an amazing time nonetheless. At ET7 Massive Events announced that there WOULD be an ET8 held later this year, however, it would be the last convention for Twilight alone. This news was horrific. These events have been a key feature of our year here at Secret Lives, with all of us attending. Although it will be very sad to say goodbye to these conventions, the line up for ET8 is proving vert strong from so early on in the planning. So far the guests confirmed are:

Kiowa Gordon

Gil Birmingham

Justin Chon

Massive Events have promised us that these conventions will go out on a high.

In addition further bad news has surfaced. ‘The Games’,  a convention for the fans of ‘The Hunger Games’ has been cancelled due to lack of interest from both attendees and guests. This is sad news, more so because ‘The Hunger Games’ has been such a hit and has recently been constantly in the public’s eye. The Guests who were confirmed to attend the convention were:

Although the event has been cancelled and the attendees will be fully refunded, the scheduled guests will now be appearing at a signing event – Collectormania, held at Milton Keynes. In addition, Jacqueline Emerson ‘Foxface’ has been announced to attend this event.

New Breaking Dawn Clip, Hillywood & NuttyMadam! -S

Wow! it has come to that point in the year when the next round of twilight saga madness begins!
3 exciting things have either happened or will happen this month in the twilight world.
1- On February the 1st the Hillywood Show released their Breaking Dawn parody – a must see for any twilight fan who likes a good giggle! I think this is the best parody they have done so far, they just get better and better! make sure to like The Hillywood Show on facebook and follow them on twitter @Hillywoodshow
Enjoy! don’t forget that the Hillywood Show are doing a reaction video competition! To enter, simply record a video of you watching the Breaking Dawn parody for the first time and post it as a video response!

2- New Breaking Dawn clip released! In the USA there were midnight release parties for the breaking dawn DVD release which came with a surprise new clip from Breaking Dawn part 2 feauturing the newly turned Bella and her o-so-loving husband, Edward. Squee!!

As always, as there is a new clip to watch, NuttyMadam was sure to post a reaction video! We all love Emma and her videos!!

3- and finally, ET7 (Eternal Twilight 7) is approaching fast as it is this weekend! From SLOFL Myself, Lauren and Kimi will be attending and we are VERY excited as some of our favourite cast members are attending! The guest line up so far is Myanna Buring (Tanya), Bronson Pelletier (Jared), Alex Meraz (Paul), Booboo Stewart (Seth) and Noel Fisher (Vladmir). Tickets are still available but you can only buy them online for another few days! The convention is held in Birmingham from the 17th-19th Feb. EXCITEMENT! The Recreation of Bella’s Wedding Dress! – S

So…If you are a Twihard – or just got dragged along to watch the film, did YOU fall in love with Bella’s wedding dress?

The dress was one of the most closest kept secrets of 2011 – almost as top secret as   Kate Middleton’s! aka the Duchess of Cambridge!

Many fans, especially in the US where Alfred Angelo has been selling replica wedding dresses, have been faking engagements so they can try on the dress and create their own Breaking Dawn wedding moment for themselves! And lets be honest – who wouldn’t? the dress is phenomenal!

Well, one fan loved the vintage yet alluring look of the dress so much she has set out to recreate the dress herself, which is sure to be a challenge, right?

Well, this fan – Sam, has created a blog and is updating as the planning and creating of the dress takes place! So far, the dress making seems a challenge but if anyone is capable of recreating this stunning dress – it’s her!

The X Factor Final 2011 – All the Gossip and Drama! S

So, Tonight (sunday) is the final chapter of ‘The X Factor’ 2011! The long (and sometimes painful) weeks of auditions, boot camp, and lives shows has resulted in two acts making it the the End of the Final which has been spread out across the weekend. The Final, for the first time in X Factor history, has been broadcasted for the London Wembley Arena.

Last night 3 acts – Amelia Lily, Little Mix and Marcus Collins were reduced down to two, as Amelia Lily got booted out after the public vote was revealed – with her scoring the lowest amount of the public votes. However, ‘OK!’ magazine has posted online saying that Amelia has said that last night she was suffering from a sore throat that affected her performance.

So, Now, Marcus Collins and Little Mix remain. Tonight, they will each be performing their versions of the winners single (rumoured to be ‘Canonball’ by Damien Rice). The pair of acts have already recorded and filmed music videos, ready to be released tonight after the winner has been announced.

So, Who do you want to win?

As most people know – Unless you have been hiding under a rock the past few weeks! There has been a lot of drama within the series of X Factor – here are our top 5 X Factor Dramas!

5. Goldie Cheung Quits X Factor before the live finals!

This is Goldie’s first audition, and as you can see – she is a clear Tina Turner wannabe and it is easy to see that from Day 1 the X Factor was a struggle for Goldie. She was taken through to the live shows by Louis Walsh but before the first live show, Goldie released a statement with her reason for leaving the X Factor:

“The X Factor has been a fantastic experience and very challenging for me at times. I was very grateful to Louis for offering me a place in the final. However, I have decided to withdraw from the competition because I knew I would miss my family so much. I wish all the finalists the best of luck and look forward to watching them every week.”

She will always be remembered as a very eccentric act – being compared to other of Louis’ contestants such as Wagner and Jedward.

4. The First Live Show Elimination of 4 acts.

There was a surprised ‘twist’ for the first live show on the X Factor this year. The twist was that each mentor – Louis, Gary, Kelly and Tulisa would have to choose one of their acts to go home. The main Drama of this number 4 spot is when Kelly Rowland axed Amelia Lily. It caused huge controversy as after the live show, Amelia’s family went to the press, saying that the X Factor ruined Amelia’s life, causing speculation over whether the age limit of 16 to participate in the competition is old enough.

3. Kitty Brucknell gets a hug off Lady Gaga!

When the theme of a live show was announced to be Queen vs Lady Gaga – Kitty and Misha B were quick to choose the same song – ‘Born This Way’ the number 1 hit from Lady Gaga. However only one of the contestants could perform the song, and that person was Misha B. Kitty was devastated but delivered a powerful vocal of ‘Don’t Stop me Now’ – a classic from Queen. However, the public vote led to Kitty being booted out of the show that week, and when Dermot asked her if she wanted to say anything – she performed a 10 second rendition of ‘Born This Way’. Afterwards, on the Xtra Factor, Lady Gaga ran onstage to comfort a devastated Kitty (she had just performed her song ‘Marry the Night’ on the results show).

2.Amelia Lily’s Winners song leaked.

It was reported that a few days ago, Amelia Lily’s winners single was leaked online – causing speculation that the show may be rigged and that Amelia would win. However, X Factor representatives argued that the leak was down to a ‘technical glitch’ and the situation was quickly resolved. Amelia was later voted off by the public in the first part of the X Factor final this weekend.

1. Frankie Cocozza Axed from the show.

One of the most controversial dramas of this series of X Factor was when Frankie Cocozza was axed from the show for breaking a ‘golden rule’. From the start, Frankie was seen to be a ‘bad boy’ and was seen to be a bad role model for the younger viewers. In his first audition he revealed a tattoo of 7 girls’ names – on his BOTTOM! From then on he was seen to be a bad influence as he continuously hit the town, admitting that he only had a few hours sleep the night before a live show. There have been many rumours as to why he has been act – mainly revolving around alcohol and drug use. However, nothing is official. When Frankie left the show the public were allowed to vote in one of the four acts that were previously axed in the first live show. The person with the highest amount of votes was Amelia Lily, who delivered a powerful comeback performance.

Have i left anything out? let me know! Among the amazing performances the contestants have delivered there have been some amazing performances by well known artists such as Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber:

Other things that happened that i think are quite dramatic:

- Caroline Flack received death threats after she was spotted smooching Harry Styles (One Direction)

- JLS, One Direction and the Finalists team  up to do a charity single.

- The finalists didn’t sing with artists such as Rihanna and Robbie Williams but they sang with their mentors instead – good thing Louis didn’t have an act!

It has been confirmed that Bella and Edward’s wedding song is ‘Flightless Bird, American Mouth’ You may recognise it as it is a wedding version of the song they danced to at prom!

and Christina Perri has released her music video for ’1000 years’

Now, a lot of twihards have a dilemma as they want to have an R or 15 rated movie, but, it has now been confirmed that the film is a 12A/PG13 rated film after the film had been advised to cut the length of the sex scenes that featured Edward thrusting with Bella having her legs wrapped around his torso. Eternal Twilight 6 Round-up!

Last Weekend all four of us – Lauren, Dayna, Kimi and Myself went to ‘Eternal Twilight 6′. This event was a twilight convention held in the Hilton Metropole near the NEC in Birmingham.

The Guests for the event were: Gil Birmingham – Billy Black, Chaske Spencer – Sam Uley, Charlie Bewley – Demetri, Toni Trucks – Mary (Breaking Dawn), Patrick Brennan – Liam (Breaking Dawn) and Justine Wachsberger – Gianna (New Moon).

At the convention there were also a number of Authors who came to promote their novels: Becca Fitzpatrick, L.A Weatherly,  Kate Harrison and  Marcus Sedgwick.

Overall the weekend was very enjoyable for all of us and EVEN BETTER – we managed to stock up on a load of new books!

Throughout the guest talks we learnt a lot about the upcoming ‘Breaking Dawn’ films including something that will hopefully be on the Breaking Dawn DVD!

Toni Trucks announced to the audience that the whole cast took part in a flash mob dance when the Cullens and their allies fight the Volturi. It apparently starts with Carlisle (Peter Facinelli) walking up to the Volturi and saying ‘I Think we can settle this…with a DANCE OFF!’ to which the Cullens perform a choreographed dance sequence to the Volturi. Afterwards Aro (Michael Sheen) simply looks like a gangster and the Volturi perform their routine. Toni stressed that Bill Condon, the director of Breaking Dawn did not know of the rehearsed dances and was completely shocked! But, after researching, i think Bill is keen to put the dance onto the bonus features of the Breaking Dawn DVD.

We also learnt that if Gil Birmingham was a flavour of ice cream he would be Rocky Road and that when Charlie Bewley feels down he plays ‘Prince Ali’ from Aladdin as he thinks it sounds like ‘Prince Charlie’. When asked what musical character they would love to perform, Toni Trucks responded with ‘Sweet Charity’ and Patrick Brennan answered with ‘Annie’ later changing it to ‘Miss Hanigan’. Another question asked was ‘What aspirations do you have for before you die?’ to which Charlie Bewley replied ‘Creating a Human catapult’ so he could fire himself into the sea as a way of dying if he became terminally ill. Toni Trucks responded by saying that she would like to start a restaurant called ‘Couch Potatoes’ where you can choose a chair to sit in and order their signature dish ‘Couch Potatoes’!…One of the funniest revelations was that Charlie Bewley would like a ‘tug toner’ for Christmas – which, if you’re wondering is a piece of exercising equipment. Throughout the weekend we also learnt of Guri Weinberg’s GFYS charity and once Toni Trucks explained the idea of it to us, the majority of the convention goers tweeted Noel Fisher and Guri Weinberg saying ”Toni Told us to tell you….GFYS!”

Toni Trucks and Patrick Brennan have made quite a positive impact on us, and from what we have seen – they are very grateful to be part of the twilight phenomenon and appreciate all the love they have received – even though we haven’t seen them in BD action yet!

Throughout the weekend we also met the lovely Becca Fitzpatrick who was kind enough to listen to us tell her about our blog!

On the saturday, Massive Events (the company that run the conventions) announced that as of now, the UK conventions are becoming OFFICIAL. This means they will have access to the whole cast and it will be easier for them to get bigger guests to their events! It also means that they are now able to possibly get props and costumes on display at the events!

Cineworld, Odeon, Vue and most other cinemas have opened their booking slots to see the next chapter of the worldwide phenomenon. On each site there is a well displayed breaking dawn button/ad so you can easily find where you can book your ticket.

NOT ONLY THIS BUT….

Vue cinemas and Cineworld cinemas are also hosting Twi-athlons on the 17th of November. These twi-athlons will be showing back to back Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and then showing a midnight screening of Breaking Dawn part 1 – how exciting! Make sure to grab your tickets now before they sell out – which i am sure will be VERY QUICKLY!
